| How ANPR Ticketing Works |
|
You decide on the parking restrictions you wish to have implemented i.e. 2 hour maximum, often used by retail units in order to stop long term commuter parking. We then arrange for appropriate signs clearly displaying the parking restrictions to be manufactured and installed throughout the car park area. These are manufactured using aluminium in reflective yellow and black text and usually measure 45cm x 60cm (other sizes can be agreed), FREE of charge (see options list). We then supply and install hi-tech ANPR cameras FREE of charge (dependant on option taken, see list) at both the entry and exit points of the car park (you will be required to supply a constant power source nearby), these are then linked to an on site PC unit (supplied and installed free) and connected via broadband to our Control Room (you will be required to provide a location on site for the PC unit), we will need to supply a dedicated broadband line on site, which we shall supply at the cost of £51.25 per calendar month. We will then ask you to supply registrations of any staff vehicles that are permitted to park outside the restrictions in place so that they may be installed onto our database, this can be updated daily if needed so to ensure that those vehicles are not issued a Fixed Penalty Notice. The ANPR cameras then capture every vehicle registration details entering and leaving the car park (cameras even work in the dark, giving you 24/7 control) and transmit via broadband to our offices whereby a dedicated database will check the length of stay of each vehicle and should this be outside the permitted time it will apply to the DVLA for the vehicle keepers details whereby a Fixed Penalty Notice will be issued (for ticket amounts see options list) and sent via post. The offending keeper has up to 28 days to make payment after which the matter will be handed over to our retained collection company for collection.
ConclusionOnce the system is installed, you have nothing more to do except see your car park spaces become available for your customers again. All installation and maintenance of the system is our responsibility as is the issuing and collections of fines. The system is very effective in solving car park abuse without being seen as draconian; even the Police and DVLA use ANPR and our systems are approved by the DVLA. You, the client, can have total control of the system; i.e. Fixed Penalty Notice values, cancel FPNs and even just send a warning letter depending on the option you choose. So if you want to have your car park spaces to only be used by bona fide customers and don't wish to use an On-site Parking Officer, a barrier system or Pay & Display system and wish to have no costs except £51.25 pcm for a BT broadband line (see Option 1), then our Automatic Number Plate Recognition Ticketing System is for you — please complete our enquiry form or call our sales team on 0844 8008841 |
